New Album–Acoustic Guitars are DONE

Featured

It was a long and arduous journey of acoustic guitar sessions.  All I can say is that I have never played as much acoustic guitar with as few shows in the span of 6 months as I have done here. We didn’t finish-finish until we did a little cleanup session in early January 2013.  One thing is for sure this album is going to have a healthy selection of bonus tracks.  There is also a good balance of solo acoustic tracks on this one as well.  Now its over to lead guitars…

Welcome!

If you are coming to my page for the first time, welcome!  Please hang out and wander around.

My full album is available on itunes and cdbaby.

The 3 song EP you see to your right, are all songs that were later remixed and mastered for the album–

Summer Concert @WRMG

Featured

This is a picture of the stage I built last fall on our small family farm in Stanton Heights.  I threw a small concert/party and it went well enough.  So..I am ready to throw another one.  Interested?  Here are the details.

JUNE 15th 8pm-11pm.  1100 Normahill Drive Pgh PA.

The venue is called Wild Reds Music Garden–WRMG.  We will host some gospel music via Deryck Tines and the One Church Choir.  Then there will be a set by Judith Avers and her secret string band THE EARLY MAYS.  Finally I will do some songs and open a song circle.

There is an expected door donation of 10$ all of which will go to the artists.  Also, be sure to bring some petty cash for food and drink donations which go to the venue.  If it rains we will move indoors!  Plenty of room!  Hope to see you!

Featured

Hey all, I am looking forward to returning to Philly next Wednesday night to play  World Cafe Live with a very interesting group of fantastic artists.  This is a SongCircle event that will be “in the round” — the artists join each other on stage and take turns performing their songs and sharing insights and stories about their craft.  Here are some quick introductions to the artists, links, and personal song favorites:

Harp strumming pop enchantress –Gillian Grassie: “Silken String”

Wry and punchy power-folk–Sarah Donner: “Treeline”

Streetwise soul stylings–Chris Bruni: “Watch Me Burn”

Rootsy folk songstress–Jessica Smucker:  “Sweet and Broken”
